Dansk: Hyænehund, afrikanske vildhund
Deutsch: Afrikanische Wildhunde sind Hetzjäger, die ihre Beute über drei bis fünf Kilometer verfolgen können. Bei der Hetzjagd werden Geschwindigkeiten von 55 km/h erreicht. Ist das flüchtende Beutetier ermüdet, wird es vom Alpha-Tier an den Hinterbeinen gepackt; die anderen Hunde holen dann auf und zerreißen das Tier bei lebendigem Leibe. Ein Tötungsbiss wird nicht angesetzt.
English: The African Wild Dog is running up to 5 km at a speed of 55 km per hour. Only 3000-5000 African Wild Dogs lived 1997 in the wild. African Wild Dogs are endangered.
