Summary
Description |
English: SAN DIEGO (Sept. 17, 2010) Chief Personnel Specialist Roger Blake is introduced as a chief petty officer for the first time at the chief petty officer pinning ceremony in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). After receiving their gold anchors and combination covers, 22 new chief petty officers were welcomed into the Ronald Reagan Chief Petty Officer's Mess. Ronald Reagan was granted permission to pin their new chiefs a day later than the traditional date of Sept. 16, so that family members could attend the ceremony.
