English: CARIBBEAN SEA (June 18, 2007) - Lt. Cmdr. Paul Evers, a Navy chaplain aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH 20), recites memorial rites for Robert Lee Royer, a World War II Navy chief pharmacist's mate, as Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman Anthony Aubright and Comfort command chaplain Lt. Cmdr. Karl Kish pay respects. Royer enlisted the day after the Pearl Harbor attacks and served until the end of the war. He was involved in the initial landings at Guadalcanal and the Battle of Okinawa and also served aboard the USS Haven (AH-12), a predecessor to Comfort. His decorations included the Silver Star, Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation and the Asia-Pacific Campaign Medal.
