Photo's description:

The proposed development of the Tyne and Wear Metro forms a Ring-Radial network. This allows creating different groups of routes. The Prudhoe – Chopwell route has two short non-interchanging route options. Routes are the Crossing station (“Monument” station). Each route has the section with a double passing through 11 stations (‘there” and “back”): Scotswood – Elswick – Saint James – Monument – Manors – Byker – Chillingham Road – Walkergate – Wallsend – Hadrian Road – Howdon. The Prudhoe – Chopwell ROUTE 1 (the Route is shown in Violet - 60 stations) / The Prudhoe – Chopwell ROUTE 2 (the Route is shown in Red - 60 stations). This allows to select the optimal combination of different routes depending on the amount of passenger traffic.
