Photo's description:

The proposed development of the Tyne and Wear Metro forms a Ring-Radial network. This allows creating different groups of routes. Depending on periodic, episodic, ad hoc changes to the volume and direction of passenger traffic have various options for grouping of routes. The total numbers of ring routes are 26. The Scheme shows ring routes number 1 (16 station), 2 (20 stations), 3 (30 stations), 4 (36 stations), 5 (34 stations), 6 (36 stations), 7 (40 stations), 8 (41 stations) and 9 (26 stations). Ordinal or original route sets consist of different combinations of ring routes and radial routes.
