Description
English: The AMI DC-3 features Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engines instead of the original radial engines, and a longer fuselage than the original aircraft.The plane once served the S A Air Force and while flying for the South African Air Force in 1986 was hit by a SA 7 missile. Its tail control surfaces were destroyed but all the same the plane came to a safe landing. The incident can be found on the Dakota Association od South Africa ( DASA) under the CN 32961.
