Her Excellency visited Afghanistan to show her support for and solidarity with Canadian soldiers and the people of Afghanistan (unrelated information)

Son Excellence la très honorable Michaëlle Jean, gouverneure générale du Canada et commandante en chef du Canada, et le Général Walt Natynczyk, Chef d’état-major de la Défense (CEMD), sont transportés par hélicoptère entre l’aérodrome de Kandahar et le Camp Nathan-Smith, le 9 septembre 2009.

Son Excellence a visité l’Afghanistan pour manifester son appui et sa solidarité aux militaires canadiens et à la population afghane.
