English: Blue Dicks (Dichelostemma capitatum), Los Padres National Forest, California

I'm not a huge fan of these flowers, but when I saw the awesome background this one had, I just had to stop and photograph it :)

The darker green on top was shaded grass, while the lighter green was sunlit grass. I put the flower in shade by holding up my baseball cap to block the sun.
