Čeština: Čmeláci jsou létající hmyz (rod čmelák - Bombus, čeleď včelovití - Apidae). Podobně jako jejich příbuzné včely se živí nektarem a sbírají pyl pro výživu mladých jedinců. Tato stvoření jsou užitečná pro člověka i pro říši rostlin. Jsou větší a více chlupatí než jiné druhy čeledi včelovitých. Na obrázku vidíte čmeláka polního (Bombus pascuorum).
Deutsch: Beschreibung: Die Hummeln (Bombus) sind eine zu den Bienen gehörende Gattung sozial lebender Insekten. Die über einen Wehrstachel verfügenden Hautflügler (Hymenoptera) gehören zu den Stechimmen, auch Wehrimmen genannt. Hier zu sehen eine Bombus pascuorum auch Ackerhummel genannt.
English: Description: Bumblebees (also spelled bumble bee, also known as humblebee) are flying insects of the genus Bombus in the family Apidae. Like their relatives the honey bees, bumblebees feed on nectar and gather pollen to feed their young.
