Deutsch: Männliche Große Heidelibelle (Sympetrum striolatum) in der Spangener Heide, einem Teil des Naturschutzgebietes Cuxhavener Küstenheiden. English: Male Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) in the Spangener Heide, part of the nature reserve Cuxhavener Küstenheiden, northern Lower Saxony, Germany. Consider the bright Thorax-side bandages and the forehead drawing, ending at the eyes which distinguishes the Common Darter from the very similar Vagrant Darter (Sympetrum vulgatum).
