Ihr natürliches Verbreitungsgebiet erstreckt sich über das außertropische Eurasien, bis hin zur Arabischen Halbinsel, dem Maghreb, Island und Japan. In Nordamerika wurde die Art eingeschleppt. Die Unterart crucivora lebt in Nordostasien.
English: Two Japanese Small Whites – butterflies of the family Pieridae – mating. P. rapae is one of the most widespread and common butterflies. Its natural range extends all across temperate Eurasia, to the Arabian Peninsula, the Maghreb, Iceland and Japan. It has been introduced to North America. The subspecies crucivora inhabits northeastern Asia.
Français : Deux Piérides de la rave – papillons de la famille des Pieridae – pendant l'accouplement. P. rapae est une des espèces de papillons diurnes les plus répandues et communs. Elle est présente naturellement en Eurasie jusqu'à la péninsule Arabique, au Maghreb, au Islande et au Japon. Elle est introduite dans Amérique du Nord. On trouve la sous-espèce crucivora dans la nord-est du Asie.
