English: Roof section of the stave church from Gol in Halling valley, ca. 1200. Moved to the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History 1884. Around 1/3 of the materials were thought to be mediaeval - the rest of the church was reconstructed, modelled after Borgund stave church in Sogn.
