English: An exchange of notes between Mr. Leopold Figl, Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Sterling Cole, Director General of the IAEA, took place in Vienna on 26 February 1958, by which the Headquarters Agreement between the Austrian Republic and the IAEA, signed on 11 December 1957 and recently approved by the Austrian Constitutional bodies, will become formally effective as of 1 March 1958.

Mr. Figl and Mr. Cole are seen shaking hands after the ceremony. In the background are senior officials of the Austrian Federal Chancellery and of the International Atomic Energy Agency. (26 February 1958)
