Summary

Description
English: Local radio towers atop Lake Mountain, Utah. These provide the area with a handful of broadcasts, from amateur radio, to police/fire/EMS. The dish antennas are microwave links to relay telephone calls and other data between towns. Their apertures are covered by plastic sheets to keep out the weather. The cylindrical metal sheets around some of the dishes are "shrouds" that shield the antenna from interfering signals coming from angles outside the main beam axis. They are used so that antennas located close together, as here, can use the same frequencies without interfering with each other
