Summaryedit
Description |
English: Stained glass panel in the nave of St. John's Anglican Church, Ashfield, New South Wales (NSW). This window depicts the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan river by John the Baptist. The title banner reads "This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17). The Holy Spirit is descending in the form of a dove. John holds a banner reading "Ecce Agnus Dei" (Latin meaning "behold the Lamb of God", quoting John 1:36). The inscriptions on this memorial window reads "To the Glory of God & In Loving Memory of Mary Bessie (Want) Gray. Entered into Rest 15th July 1934. Aged 83 Years. Erected by her Children."
