English: SEATTLE (June 16, 2011) Kiyokazu Ota, Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle, speaks about American and Japanese relations aboard the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force training squadron ship JS Kashima (TV 3508) during a reception hosted by Rear Adm. Umio Otsuka, commander of Japan Training Squadron. Leadership from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) and Naval Station Everett also attended the reception. Kashima made a port visit in Seattle to acknowledge America's assistance in rescue and recovery efforts following the earthquake and tsunami which struck the Tohoku region in March.
