English: Sigonella, Sicily (Mar. 31, 2004) - Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Damon Denton shows eighth-grade students from Naval Air Station Sigonella's Stephen Decatur School how to perform a suture using a chicken in the United States Naval Hospital Sigonella (USNHS) operating room. The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) class toured USNHS to learn about careers offered at a hospital. AVID helps average students with high academic potential prepare for entrance to colleges and universities.
