Summaryedit
Description |
English: An RAF HS125 aircraft is marshalled in by the Visiting Aircraft Section (VASS) from 901 Expeditionary Air Wing(EAW) C Flight in the Middle East.
901 EAW C Flt is based at a Middle Eastern Airbase that the RAF has had a long association with. Currently personnel are deployed in support of aircraft from 32 (The Royal) Squadron, based at RAF Northolt near London. Primary tasking is in support of VIP movements, allowing them to meet with and engage with both military personnel and local officials, as part of the UK's Defence Diplomacy strategy, in both the Op Herrick and Op Kipion Theatres. The detachment works closely with the UK Maritime Component Command personnel, deployed nearby, and provides support to them across a range of activities, including acting as the airhead for the roulement of Royal Navy personnel.
