f. 29.8.1875 - d. 2.7.1960, sønn av Petter Johannessen E. og Marte Sophie Margarini, bror av Louise E. Firmaet ble i 1924 overtatt av mathias Røstad, som hadde bestyrt det en tid. Engen sluttet som fotograf og startet egen herreekviperingsforretning i Nordre gate. Var oldermann i Nordenfjeldske fotografers forening 1911 - 12.
