English: Camp Patriot, Kuwait (May 07, 2003) -- From left, Kuwait’s Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah completes a troop review and inspection with Commander, Kuwait Naval Forces, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Y. al-Mulla during the Sheikh’s recent visit to Kuwait Naval Base and Camp Patriot. Sheikh al-Sabah bid Gulf Country Council (GCC) troops participating in Peninsula Shield farewell and thanks during a brief visit and ceremony attended by hundreds of area commanders and troops from the GCC states as well as U.S., British and Australian military leaders. The GCC is made up of members from the nations of Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar. Camp Patriot is home to over 3,000 U.S. Servicemen and women from all branches of military service and has worked hand-in-hand with coalition and GCC member-nations over the past months.
