MEDITERRANEAN SEA (March 23, 2014) Ensign Anthony Melendez-Diaz monitors a console in the combat information center aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75). Donald Cook, the first of four Arleigh Burke-class destroyers to be forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on a scheduled patrol to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility as part of the president's phased adaptive approach to European ballistic missile defense.
