Summaryedit

Description
English: Hvannhagi is a beautiful and peaceful place on the east coast of Suðuroy, Faroe Islands, north of the villages Trongisvágur, Tvøroyri and Froðba, south of Hvalba. Hvannhagi is a valley with a lake in it. The mountains around it are quite high and steep, there are only two places where people can walk down there, the other place is on the southern side where the gate is and the other is on the eastern side above the lake, through a gorge called Frostgjógv. This photo is taken from the path which goes from the gate down to the valley. The view is towards east to the small island Lítla Dímun, which is the smallest of the 18 islands of the Faroes. Lítla Dímun is not inhabited.
