Description

We went to Compton Down today looking for Silver Spotted Skipper butterflies. We did not find any but after a long sweaty scramble around the steep hills there Joshua and I decided to cool off at Compton Abbas airfield - if you have ever stood behind a helicopter as it takes off you will know how cooling that can be.

I played around with slow, slower and very slow shutter speeds while still handholding to see what works best on propellor aircraft - practising for next weekends Bournemouth Air Festival you see!

The processing was also a bit experimental and somewhat OTT - it also showed just how many dust spots there are on my sensor so I had better get cleaning! I didn't like it so I have gone back to my usual minimal processing.
