Summaryedit

Description
English: This photo marks a red letter day for our National Library of Ireland Flickr Commons stream. It is the final photo in our Year in the Life project, where we uploaded one photo every day that was taken on that date (day & month) somewhere in Ireland (although we do have one stray that was taken on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, we think). And the added value for doing this in 2011/2012 was that this was a Leap Year, so we managed to squeeze in an extra photo for 29 February...

So definitely time for virtual drum rolls, and resounding bualadh bos (applause) for everyone who has worked away over the last 12 months to help us find out more about the people and places in our/your photographic collections!

This is men hard at work at J.F. O'Gorman's Motor Works in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. If you remember, these are the owners of the business, pictured on Thursday, 20 April 1922.

James Guerin thinks that the donor chassis are Ford Model A, 1930 models:
"Note the grille behind the wheel, the wheel inset in the mud-guard and the headlamp position on the mudguard."

Date: Monday, 30 April 1934
