English: Pentagon, Washington, DC (Mar. 8, 2002) -- The Navy Command Center is operational and monitoring the U.S. Navy Fleet just as it did prior to the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. The Command Center moved back to the Pentagon in February, and will be fully restored later this summer. The center, which is manned 24 hours a day, maintains a constant watch on the fleet, keeping the U.S. Navy's senior leadership informed of global developments.
