Then Pilatecommanded the soldiers, and they went and broke the legs of the two thievesto kill them, but when they came to Jesus and saw that he was dead already,they broke not his legs. But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side,and there came out from it blood and water. At the place where Jesus was crucified was a garden, and in the garden anew sepulchre in which no one had ever been buried.
