Спасо-Преображенский собор в городе Переславле-Залесском. Памятная доска на западной стене. Переславль, Красная площадь, дом 1а. Надпись такова. «Сей Соборный храм устроен из белого камня в 1152 году Великим Князем Георгием Владимировичем Долгоруким и благоукрашен сыном его, Великим Князем Андреем Боголюбским. Но в таком виде он просуществовал только 86 лет, ибо в 1238, 1252 и 1281 годах был разграблен и разорён татарами. В 1293 году сожжён был князем Андреем Городецким. В 1385 году Хан татарский Тохтамыш, а в 1409 году Ордынский князь Эдигей снова разграбили и сожгли его. В 1611—1612 гг. он много пострадал от Литовцев и хотя в продолжении своего семивекового существования и был возобновляем, но, лишась прежнего наружного и внутреннего украшения от огня и варварства врагов, он внутри начал ветшать. В 1891—1894 гг. сей храм, как древняя Святыня граждан, с разрешения Археологической Комиссии, возобновлён и украшен попечением и иждивением ктитора храма Потомственного Почётного Гражданина Петра Николаевича Ножевникова и с Архипастырского благословения Высокопреосвященнейшего Сергия Архиепископа Владимирского и Суздальского освящён 28 Августа 1894 года».
