(Sept. 19, 2005) – Over 90 Sailors and Marines assigned to the “Rough Raiders” of Strike Fighter Squadron One Two Five (VFA-125), embark aboard a Navy C-9B Skytrain II transport aircraft on board Naval Air Station Key West. The Sailors and Marines were ordered to evacuate in preparation of the arrival of Hurricane Rita. The category one hurricane is expected to pass very near Key West on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005.
