The first annual Gulf Coast Regional Science Olympiad, supported by NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston TX. It was held on Jan.31, 2004 at the University of Houston. Middle school and high school students were challenged to demonstrate their knowledge in a variety of science disciplines.
The regional winners will be competing at the State level. Winners of the state tournament will join the winners from all 50 states to compete at the National Science Olympiad.
