Sign at Cölbe for the Centre of the European Union (2004-2007) as calculated by the Institute for Theoretical Geodesy in Bonn. It was later calculated that this would be at Kleinmaischeid instead (see Cölbe#Sundry).
Memorial Zirkelschlag in Kleinmaischeid, represents the geographical center of the European Union from Mai 1, 2004 until December 31, 2006.

I took this photo on June 29, 1999 - it's a close-up of the plaque on the monument at the geographic center of the 48 contiguous states in Lebanon, Kansas.
Marker for the Western Hemisphere's 45X90 point. This marker was intentionally misplaced, though signs clarifying the misdirection were only added after the increase in personal GPS devices. The actual location is approx. 1000 feet away (in a farm field). However the marker is conveniently located off of a public road. It is located outside Poniatowski, Wisconsin, USA.
