Español: Este retrato de la reina Isabel la Católica (1451-1504) forma parte de la llamada Colección Generalife: grupo de pinturas compuesta por diversos retratos de reyes españoles de la Casa de Austria. Esta colección estuvo en el palacio del Generalife hasta que este edificio pasó a ser propiedad del Estado en 1921, momento en el que pasan a formar parte de las colecciones de la Casa de los Tiros, que estaba ligada al Generalife al pertenecer a los marqueses de Campotéjar, alcaides del Generalife desde el reinado del emperador Carlos V. El origen de esta colección de pintura está en las galerías de retratos que se fueron formando en el Generalife desde la conquista cristiana, ya que el hecho de que este lugar fuera propiedad de la corona hizo llegar, en momentos sucesivos, retratos de los diferentes reyes hasta formar una completa galería. Todos ellos son copias efectuadas en los siglos XVI y XVII de las obras que los retratistas del rey pintaban en la corte, copias que se realizaban en el mismo taller del pintor de los retratos oficiales. Este retrato de Isabel la Católica, junto con el de Fernando el Católico, ambos de medio cuerpo y vistiendo ricos trajes de corte, son los más antiguos de la colección. Son obras de autor anónimo, de antiguo atribuidas al pintor de la reina católica Antonio del Rincón.
