Serhat is the only son of Ayd?n family. His parents named for traveling before his birth. Serhat and then-teammates, Tuncay and Dinçer led the Marmara Engineering Team to consecutive facult championship 3rd from 1997 to 2002. Serhat has become the cornerstone of Marmara engineering Faculty, and was the league's leading rebounder during the 1997–2002 seasons.[2] In 2006, Serhat scored a career high 31 points against the Yamanspor, the second highest number of points scored in a single game in ?stanbul league. Serhat was awarded the slam dunk 3rd in ITU Spring Festival, and also a champions for Streetball at Marmara University..[5] In 2006, Serhat married with his former girlfriend ?lkiz, and continued his career with his beatiful wife.

Biography Early life Serhat Ayd?n was born in ?stanbul, the youngest child and only son of ?erif and Müjgan Ayd?n.] When Serhat was six, his father let him to start school of his in ?stanbul, moved his family to K.Çekmece. At an early age, he learned to play soccer and his favorite team was Galatasaray. Serhat is a big fan of former FC Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard and their former player Ronaldinho. In 1991, Serhat started the college years in Akasya College. Serhat than earned national recognition during a spectacular high school career at Ataköy High School in Ataköy. His overall score of 4,08 over 5.00 would have ensured his scholarship to various top-tier colleges. Ultimately, however, the 17-year-old Serhat made the decision to go directly into the University with refusing the offer from GS Basketball team. He had to have a job also to survive. Then he started the Marmara University in Engineering Faculty. Right after his attending to University he was drafted on #1 for Engineering Basketball Team. He took the place of Mahir, who also had a perfect career at University League of Marmara. 1996 Engineering Draft Before Serhat was chosen as the 1st overall draft pick by the Engineering Faculty, he refused to play for anyone but the ET. Serhat giving the ball inside… During his first season, Serhat mostly came off the bench behind centers and forwards Mahir and Engin. Initially, Serhat played limited minutes, but as the season continued, he began to see some more playing time. He earned himself a reputation as a high-flyer and a fan-favorite by winning the 1997 Slam Dunk Contest at ITU. In Serhat's second season, he received more playing time and began to show more of his abilities as a talented young center and forward. He was increasing day by day his point and rebounds. Championship years (1996–2002) Serhat's fortunes would soon change when Ali Özarboy became coach for the Engineering team in 1996. They played a final game with Hukuk Faculty but lost in last seconds, but received a title of bronze medal. ?stanbul League Years (2002–07) In the 2002–03 IL season, Serhat averaged 10 points per game. In addition, he averaged 11.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.2 steals per game, all career highs up to that point After finishing 9-4 in the regular season, Yamanspor was defeated by Bo?aziçi on Quarters. In the following seasons, he was transferred to Bulgurluspor, with 10 million TL/year. And he earned a Conference Championship at Group F in IL with his former teammates Dinçer Mola and Tuncay Ba?kan. Serhat scored more than 20 points and 15 rebounds or more in four consecutive games in 2002-2007.

International career He hasn’t played for an international team before Dexia. He’s now a player of Dexia-Denizbank. Player profile Serhat is a power forward who is capable of playing the small center position. He is considered one of the most complete players in Engineering Faculty history, has been elected to every business Team since 1999. He is a prolific scorer, averaging 12.0 points per game for his career, along with 1.6 assists, 9.3 rebounds. He is known for his ability to create shots for himself, and is an adept outside shooter. He has exceptional jumping skills and utilizes his speed and athletic ability to elude defenders to finish at the basket. Aside from this, he is also a standout defender. Personal life In June 2001, 22 year old Serhat met 17 year old ?lkiz Yurtseven while he was studying Environmental Engineering at Marmara Universtiy. The two began dating and became engaged three years later in 28 September, while ?lkiz was still a senior at Halic University, Istanbul. She graduated from American Culture and Literature in 2005. They married on July 9, 2006 in Derbent, Kocaeli. Serhat's parents, his two sisters was happy for him. They traveled to Italy and Netherlands, for the company, but they chose to live in Turkey afterall.
