Peking, 29. Oktober 1985
Der Bundesminister des Auswärtigen, Hans-Dietrich Genscher, stattete vom 27. bis 31. Oktober 1985 der Volksrepublik China einen offiziellen Besuch ab. Während seines Aufenthaltes in Peking führte er politische Gespräche mit seinem chinesischen Amtskollegen Wu Xueqian. Er wurde auch von Deng Xiaoping, Mitglied des Ständigen Ausschusses des Politbüros der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas, sowie von dem Stellvertretenden Ministerpräsidenten Li Peng empfangen.
Am 29. Oktober wurde die Handelsförderungsgestelle in Peking eingeweiht.
Am 30. Oktober besuchte der Bundesaußenminister die Kanton-Messe.
