Zentralbild Biscan Zi-Qu 8.9.1956 Mechanisierung im Schneiderhandwerk. Pikieren leicht gemacht. Die Befestigung des Steifleinens am Stoff ist für den Sitz eines Anzuges oder Kostüms von entscheidender Bedeutung. Bisher musste das Pikieren, es nennt sich das Anheften des Steifleinens an den Stoff, mit der Hand vorgenommen werden, falls nicht eine Spezialmaschine vorhanden war. Mit dem von dem Magdeburger Mechanikermeister Gerard Holze entwickelten Pikier Apparat wurde diese Arbeit einfach und billig mechanisiert und automatisiert. Der Apparat der an jede normale Zick-Zack-Nähmaschine angesetzt werden kann, leistet schon in der Hand einer angelernten Hilfskraft die Pikierarbeit von zehn bis zwölf geübten Schneidern, kein Wunder, dass dieser Pikier-Apparat schon von tausenden Schneidern und von vielen Kleiderfabriken der DDR angewendet wird. In den letzten Wochen gelang es auf dem Weltmarkt keinen zweiten ähnlich leistungsfähigen und billigen Apparat gibt.
