Photo's description:
The Old Marconi Radio Station, Ceunant. Opened in 1914, the station achieved a first when it transmitted in Morse code to Australia in September 1918. For many years it was the most important long wave radio station in Britain. After its closure in 1939, the building had many and varied uses. For a brief time, in the 1970s, it was a notorious strip-club. Today, it houses the Beacon Indoor Climbing Centre.
