Deutsch: Außenschenkel eines dreischenkeligen Leistungstransformators für Drehstrom. Der in der Mitte befindliche Eisenkern besteht aus gegeneinander isolierten (geschichteten) Trafoblech. Der Eisenquerschnitt wird durch Abstufungen an die kreisförmige Querschnittsform angepasst. Die Unterspannungswicklung (Mitte) ist zylinderförmig ausgeführt, die aussen befindliche Oberspannungswicklung ist spulenförmig angeordnet. Als innerste und kleinste Wicklung ist eine Tertiärwicklung zur Kompensation von Schieflasten angebracht. Die Wicklungen bestehen aus Kupferschienen und sind durch Isoliermaterialien getrennt. Im Betrieb befindet sich drei dieser Schenkeln in dem vollständig mit Isolieröl gefüllten Transformatorgehäuse.

English: Internal construction of one phase of a TMW 50971 electric utility power transformer for three-phase alternating current. The iron core in the center consists of a stack of silicon steel laminations. The core cross section is adapted by gradations to the circular cross-sectional shape of the coil. The secondary winding (center) is implemented cylindric, the primary voltage winding outside present is wounded around the other windings and the core. The internal and smallest coil is a tertiary winding used for the compensation of phase imbalances. The windings consist of copper rails separated by insulating materials. There are three of these legs in the complete transformer, which is contained in a housing which is completely filled with insulating oil.
