Summaryedit

Description
English: The PourBoy is a device for repetitively dispensing consistent volumes of liquids, while maintaining sterility of the liquids. The black cylinder near the top is an induction coil and functions as an electromagnet. When energized, it attracts a metal piston within the pump inside it, causing the piston to move to the right and push a small amount of liquid from the input tube on the left to the output tube on the right. Valves inside the pump prevent backward flow. When the coil is de-energized, a spring inside the pump pulls the piston back to its starting position. By repeatedly, rapidly energizing and de-energizing the coil, a stream of liquid is pumped through the system. The control box regulates how long the pump is on, or the number of piston cycles required to deliver a particular volume.
