English: Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handler 2nd Class Keary Young directs a German Sea Lynx MK88 helicopter to lift off the fight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Saipan (LHA 2) following a brief visit from Commander Task force One Five Zero (CTF-150). Saipan is currently on deployment in the Fifth Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations (MSO) in the Gulf of Aden, Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea, Red Sea, and Indian Ocean. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
