Description Mid 18th century Needle Lace. It takes me approx. 90 hours to make one strip. I based the design on surviving examples of the mid. 18th. century. Lace such as this, would have been worn as "Jabot" around the front of a gentleman's shirt opening, and/or around the wrist. It is completely done by hand, by tracing the outline of the flowers etc with a thicker thread and afterwards pulling the threads of the surrounding fabric together. It is a typical work and design of the danish 18th. century. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
