Flash stool and pillow horse
English: Lace making equipment on display in Bedford museum. On the left is a \"flash stool\", with a candle for light and a \"flash\", a water filled globe acting as a lens, to concentrate the light on the work in hand. On the right is a lace pillow on a pillow horse. On the floor is a fire pot to hold hot ashes to warm the lacemaker and next to it a \"hutch\" made of rushes for storing flashes.
