|Description||Pair of white satin shoes worn by Queen Victoria on her wedding day, 10 February 1840.
Queen Victoria married her cousin, Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the Chapel Royal, St James. She wore a white satin dress trimmed with Honiton lace, a Honiton lace veil and flat shoes of white satin trimmed with bands of ribbon. Long ribbon ties fastening round the ankles held the shoes in place.
They were made by Gundry and Son, 1 Soho Square, Boot and Shoemakers to the Queen.
