English: Alfredo Garcia was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Ames Iowa when he was four, and then to Europe. He has since been traveling to many countries, becoming multi-cultural. His parents are both from Colombia, with roots in Europe. Alfredo has been involved in the performing arts from a very early age. At only seven years old he studied singing at the nationaly acclaimed conservatory in Ibague, Colombia. He was surrounded by artists while he was growing up. His mother has always been a painter and his father always had great love for photography and film, earning him a front center ticket to a great collection of film and video cameras as well as wonderful collection of LP soundtracks.

At the age of twenty six he studied acting at Ruben Di' Pietro's Acting Studio where he received great enphasis in speech and voice, acting, movement and singing classes, after completing his BFA (BCA) in Television Production and Design at Taller 5, Centro de Diseno in Bogota, where he graduated with honors.

Alfredo got his first paid acting job as "Ed" in Mistery Report,a regional television series in Colombia. He spent the next five years performing at various regional theaters including that of Ruben Di Pietro's Acting Studio. Since 1998 Alfredo has appeared in various series and very popular soap series in Colombia, as well as in the Colombian film La toma de la Embajada where he played the american Embassador's attache
