Deutsch: Das Tegetthoff-Denkmal in Wien wurde von Carl Kundmann (Statue) und Carl von Hasenauer (Architektur) gestaltet und erinnert an Wilhelm von Tegetthoff (1827-1871), Vizeadmiral und Kommandant der österreichischen bzw. österreichisch-ungarischen Kriegsmarine in den 1860er Jahren. Es steht auf dem Praterstern in der Leopoldstadt, an einem der wichtigsten Verkehrsknotenpunkte der Stadt Wien und wurde am 21. September 1886 enthüllt, 20 Jahre nach der Seeschlacht von Lissa. Das Foto entstand vor einer im Jahr 2016 geplanten Restaurierung.
English: The Tegetthoff-Denkmal in Vienna was created by Carl Kundmann (Statues) und Carl von Hasenauer (architectural construction) and reminds at Wilhelm von Tegetthoff (1827-1871), Viceadmiral und Commander of the austrian resp. austrian-hungarian navy in the 1860th. This monument is located at the Praterstern, in the 2nd district Leopoldstadt, at one of the largest traffic junction and was unveiled at the 21st of september 1886, twenty years after the Battle of Lissa. This picture was made before a intended restauration in 2016.
