Description Elizabeth II Sixpence from 1958. Diameter: 3/4 inch. Both sides are of the same coin. The inscription reads "ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA", which translates from Latin as "Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, Queen", and then on the other side "FID DEF" meaning "Defender of the Faith".
