Peace. Allegoric bronze sculptural group by Miquel Blay Fábregas (1866–1936). Placed in 1910 at the Monument to Alfonso XII of Spain in the Retiro Park (Jardines del Buen Retiro) in Madrid, built from 1902 to 1922. Peace is represented by the central female figure. Under her look and protecting arm two soldiers (a Royal one and a Carlist) hug each other (right), while a young mother and her son contemplate the scene (left).
